Understand online review, correction requests and passport submission messages without confusing a completed review with an issued China visa.
Online review completion is a process milestone, not confirmation that a China visa has been issued. Check the application account and the message from the handling centre together. A request to correct a document, permission to submit a passport and a final visa decision are different events.
This guide helps you decide what to do with a status message. For the complete application sequence, use the China visa application guide.
Read the instruction behind the status
| What you see | Useful next action | What not to assume |
|---|---|---|
| Application saved or incomplete | Check whether the required submission steps were completed in your account. | A saved form is not necessarily in the review queue. |
| A correction or additional-document request | Read the specific message; correct the identified item and follow the resubmission instruction. | A missing-document request alone does not establish a final visa refusal. |
| Review remains in progress | Check messages and retain the application reference for any enquiry. | An estimated turnaround is not a guaranteed completion date. |
| Review completed | Read the accompanying email and centre instructions before arranging the physical stage. | The visa has not necessarily been issued. |
These are practical stage descriptions, not a universal list of portal labels. Wording and available actions can change. Do not apply an instruction from a different country's centre to an application in India.
The New Delhi check before passport submission
The New Delhi online-process notice requires both completed online review and a confirmation email before physical passport/document submission. If one is missing, contact the handling centre instead of treating a screenshot as an automatic substitute.
Keep the email attachment, application reference and current document instruction together. If a message gives a submission window, work from that actual instruction. Do not calculate it from the date you first saved the form.
Respond to a correction without creating a second problem
- Identify the application and applicant named in the request, especially when a family has several files.
- Write down the exact discrepancy: unreadable scan, inconsistent date, missing evidence or another stated issue.
- Obtain the correct evidence from its issuer. Do not edit an invitation, statement or certificate to make it match.
- Check related form fields before resubmission using the form-consistency guide.
- Keep a record of what was changed and when it was resubmitted.
If the email and account appear to disagree
Confirm that you are viewing the correct application and centre. Check the registered email, including spam folders, and note the latest message time. Send a concise enquiry through the official contact channel with the application reference and a description of the mismatch. Share only the personal information needed through that channel; avoid posting passport screenshots publicly.
Opening another application or paying again without instructions can complicate tracking. Ask what action is required before doing either. For planning, distinguish online review from the later official stage in the processing-time guide.
Can a private agent change the status?
Visa Expertz can offer private preparation and document-review assistance. It cannot turn a pending review into an approval, override a consular request or guarantee when a decision will be made. The applicant should retain access to the official messages needed to understand their case.
