X1 vs X2
- X1: long-term study (over 180 days). Convert to residence permit in China within 30 days of arrival.
- X2: short-term courses (up to 180 days). No residence permit needed.

- Financial proof and sponsor letter
- Medical and police clearance (if applicable)
